May Newsletter
We are already into our final quarter of school and Spanish lessons are moving quickly, depending on the grade level of your student. This is the Spanish Newsletter for Queen of the Miraculous School and St. Mary Star of the Sea School. I am the teacher, Mrs. Jill Higgins, and you can access this newsletter every month or so to update yourself on the lessons that we will be covering in Spanish. I would like to apologize for missing the month of March, I was busy with RCIA for kids and wasn't able to update the Newsletter. Some messages I would like to relay to the parents are about book orders, expectations in class and my classroom management. To begin, every few months I will be making a book order through Scholastic, for Spanish books. If you interested in ordering a book in Spanish to have at home, you can have your student ask me for an order form. Unfortunately they don't send me enough for each student or even for each family, so I will give out the ones that I get. My expectations are simple that students participate in class and complete any work that they are assigned. My classroom management is simple as well, I give each student one warning about behavior, and after the warning, the next step would be having their name written on the board, and if these two steps are not successful, they will have a note to bring home and get a parent's signature. My classes are short and most students do not require re-directions.
Below I will cover what the students will be working on for the month of April by grade level. Most of the vocabulary can be found by going to the grade level at the top of the home page and then clicking on the area of study for that class. I have most of the vocabulary finished and I will be finishing the rest up as soon as I can.
Again I welcome you all, and if you have any questions, please feel free to email me on my school email and I will respond as quickly as possible.
